If you want to have a great summer, I have a few suggestions:
- Marry your best friend
- Make sure he's a teacher, so you get lots of time together in the summers
- Fit all of your working hours into three long days so that you get more days at home
- Have an adorable and funny toddler running around your house
- Read lots of books with your toddler and make animal sounds with him all day long
- Drink wine
- Go on a "date night" with your best friend that is not your husband
- Go on a "date night" with your husband
- Consider weekly picnics at the park
- Push your toddler on the swing
- Play in the gravel under the swing set
- Have early morning FaceTime conversations with your mama and your sister (aka best friend number three)
- Make little piles of paper-y, crafty projects and leave them all around your house
- Drink beer on your deck after your toddler goes to bed
- Be a mama to a sweet little beagle-mutt
- Take daily morning walks
- Sleep on an air mattress on your deck with your sweet beagle-mutt and give her lots of snuggles
- Spend time reading and writing and contemplating life
- Go to bed at a ridiculously early hour
- Get out of bed at a ridiculously early hour
- Spend an afternoon at the pool with your in-laws and nieces
- Spend evenings sharing meals with your sisters-in-law, brother-in-law and nieces
- Plan family vacations that include time with more family
- Head to the zoo each week and shamelessly make more animal noises as you walk around and look at the animals
- Work long hours on a few big projects that you can't wait to share with the world
- Snuggle with your hubby and your baby and just generally love 'em up
- Eat banana pancakes as often as possible - with chocolate chips on top, of course
- And just generally do all of the fun and relaxing things that you can possibly fit into one summer
I think this could pretty well be summarized as: I am blessed. And: I am enjoying summer.
