Not quite one month later and the shoes are here! They are real beauties. I gave them their first trial run last night and was happy with the way that they felt. Having only worn them once, I can't give an actual review at this point, but I can say that they are as pretty in real life as they are in the stock photos.
Walking has been going relatively well, but not quite as well as I had hoped.
On the positive side: I am getting stronger and can walk for much longer distances at a much faster pace than when I started. My longest walks have been seven miles and I’ve walked that distance twice. And the one really big positive was accomplishing my goal of walking 50 miles. It took a bit longer than I had hoped, but I got there.
The negatives: I have hardly walked outside at all and when I did, it was a lot more taxing than I expected. Also, finding time to do my long walks has proved quite difficult.
The race is one month from tomorrow, so I feel like I need to make a big push in these next few weeks. I want to do all that I can to be as prepared as possible. This means more walking in general and a lot more walking outdoors. The weather should continue to grow warmer, so I am hopeful that outdoor walks should be a bit easier to accomplish.
Wish me luck!
